About Me

A couple years ago I came across a saying: "A room without books is like a body without a soul." It’s something that stuck with me, considering my own room has two bookshelves; two single wall-mounted shelves and my books still overflow onto my desk, bed, floor, etc. That's not even including the books on my nook! (let's just say, they would not all fit in my bedroom)

So, my name is Rachael Lynn, I’m 20-something and I think my obsession with books started in early elementary when my teachers would read to the entire class a chapter a day, and I would be the one to go to the library and finish the book that first day because I just couldn’t wait to find out what happened next! I was often told I wasn’t allowed to answer ‘prediction questions’… sigh…

Like Elizabeth from Pride & Prejudice, only less graceful
Anyway, I was the student who walked down the halls of middle and HS with her face in a book that I just couldn’t put down. (I’m a read-in-one-sitting type of reader… no bookmarks needed…) I promise I never ran into anyone... lockers and poles, however, were not so lucky...

Now, after college, nothing much has changed, except perhaps that my spread of books has grown. I still enjoy YA, to a point, but my favorite genre is romance. I’m a romantic at heart and a good story with a HEA makes me giddy enough to giggle and laugh while reading (seriously disturbing some while giving my family more to laugh about…). While I tend to read more paranormal romances, I also enjoy historical, fantasy, a combination, contemporary, and YA romances as well.

Let's see, more about me...
-I'm an aspiring Pre-K teacher. Those kids make me laugh!
-I like to draw (see picture above )
-I can be stubborn as hell.
-I have 3 younger sisters
-My attention span is in a state of constant flux. (I can get bored. or distracted. very easily)
-My Bestie is the one person who constantly feeds my inner desire to talk about books I've read! Love Her!
-I love Edgar Allan Poe: I find his works hauntingly beautiful.

-I LOVE talking about a new series/ author/ book I'm reading.
(I can go on about a book to anyone. Seriously. Anyone.)
(They don't even have to be interested...)
